Who are we?

We are an enthusiastic amateur auditioned mixed choir, who strive for high musical standards, under the direction of our Director of Music.  As we meet and sing on the same day, rehearsal time can sometimes be limited, so it is important that members are reasonable sight-readers, so that we can spend time on dynamics, shaping and phrasing. All music can be provided prior to the day if required, to help members become familiar with pieces ahead of the rehearsals.

When do we sing?

Typically, these are Saturday or Bank Holiday Monday dates, with us meeting mid-morning for our first rehearsal, to allow for travelling time.  Evensong would generally be around 5.30 p.m., although this may vary depending on the specific Cathedral or Abbey.
